As winter winds blow and the snow flies here in Hokkaido, we thought Japanese Hamburger Steak would be a perfect dish to serve for Takimoto Inn’s monthly lunch special. A modern classic, the Hamburger Steak combines Japanese and Western tastes with delicious results!

Japanese-style Hamburger Steak

Topped with grated daikon and shiso leaves generously drizzled with sauce, the hamburger steak is refreshing and hearty all at once. Somewhat akin to a Salisbury steak, this version is smaller and lighter than its Western counterpart. Our chef serves it piping hot in an iron skillet with vegetables and just the right amount of pasta to swirl in the juices. Served with rice or bread, soup and salad for 1,200 yen, including tax.

Our second dish looks to the bounty of the sea to satisfy hungry appetites.

Fried Seafood Sampler with House Tartar Sauce

A perfect way to get a taste of the surrounding seas, our Fried Seafood Sampler offers up scallop, shrimp, and salmon. Paired with our chef’s special tartar sauce it is a flavorful choice that comes with wedge potatoes and vegetables alongside. o Served with rice or bread, soup and salad for 1,000 yen, including tax.
