A Preview of Our 2020 Osechi Menu
As cooler temperatures arrive here in Noboribetsu Onsen, we have begun to think about the 2020 Osechi Menu at Dai-ichi Takimotokan. A very special holiday, our chefs build on the traditional elements of the New Year menu with some unique Hokkaido additions. It makes for a delicious way to celebrate!
The crab in the center is one of our favorites both for its striking color as well as its fantastic taste. The Red Snow Crab and Hairy Crab, left and right respectively, are also two regional delicacies renowned for their sweet, fresh flavors. Near the center of the dish is a Blue King Crab, making this crab feast a great way to ring in the New Year!
Of course, no Osechi meal would be complete without the taste of rich, sweet black beans and the brilliant orange of herring roe. Tender awabi (abalone) is a delightful addition to the parade of 27 items that make up the 2020 New Year’s Osechi Menu at Dai-ichi Takimotokan.
Reservations for the New Year’s Osechi will run from Thursday, October 10 until Friday, December 20. It is possible to reserve a New Year’s Osechi online or via phone, fax, or even at Yunomachi, our souvenir shop. Please note that if ordering by fax, a special order form is required. We will happily send our 2020 Osechi anywhere within Japan* so everyone can have a taste of a Hokkaido New Year no matter where they are.

Orders for Hokkaido will be refrigerated. For orders in other parts of Japan, the Osechi will be frozen.
*Please note that delivery is available anywhere in Japan within the exception of some remote islands.
