Dai-ichi Takimotokan Is Recruiting!

We welcome many guests at Dai-ichi Takimotokan to enjoy our baths, food, and relax in our rooms. We have been able to do this for 159 years in great part because of our wonderful staff.

Everyone welcomes our guests with an unfailing smile. Our maids tidy rooms and clean the public bath with a smile. Our staff sells souvenirs in Yunomachi and carefully prepares meals with a smile.

As many as 1,000 guests stay with us when we are fully booked. Nearly 300 staff – those our guests see and those who work behind the scenes – help make each visit as enjoyable as possible and see to our customers every need.

This April we plan to add 35 new staff. Each one of them should be motivated to say “I want to offer hospitality to the guests of Dai-ichi Takimotokan!” Our existing staff are also excited to greet new colleagues and help them become part of our very special work.

In order to find our new members, our Human Resources staff joined Mynavi Expo, a huge hiring event at the Sapporo Dome. Usually the Sapporo Dome is home to baseball games and concerts, but on this particular day many companies gathered to meet and get to know university students hunting for jobs.

Many students visited our booth to learn more about Dai-ichi Takimotokan. We enjoyed it so very much!

Mr. Sugawara, our Personnel Manager; Mr. Kawanami, Front Desk staff; and Ms. Nagaya, Manager of the Planning Section, and two recent hires from this last year went to the event to talk about what it might be like to work at Dai-ichi Takimotokan.

Many students were particularly drawn to Mr. Kawanami’s lively talk about working the front desk. He seemed to gather quite a fan club by the end! His work makes it difficult to get away often to events like this, but we were glad to have him along to share his impressions and experience.

If you are interested in our recruiting activities at Dai-ichi Takimotokan, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Sugawara. We look forward to hearing from you!
