New Employee Training

Graduation time is so very special. We leave one place for another, and it is the season when many people have new encounters. Here at Dai-ichi Takimotokan, we also began our Blooming Spring Fair, and the mood is soft and quiet as we await the new season.

Thirty-six new employees, all fresh, young graduates started working here. Their training will run from March 27th until April 15th.

It is busy and exciting, but coupled with the tension of an unfamiliar dormitory life, our new employees might be a little bit tired. (Many of our staff live nearby in an employee dormitory. It is a good chance to get to know each other, but it is a big change.) They spend much of their day listening to various talks about their future work and taking notes. Soon they will transition to their actual jobs and be ready to begin welcoming guests!

In April, we will introduce them here in their new roles.

We also want to remind people that even though it is nearly April, in Hokkaido this can still mean snow. The above photo was taken on March 30th at 6pm. We were hopeful that we had seen the last of winter, and that the first fukinoto (butterbur) would appear. However, the snow has returned. For guests planning to come this weekend, we are eager to see you, but please take care on your way.

Important Notice

Please note that from April 4th to April 6th, the baths and hotel will be closed for Spring Cleaning and Maintenance. During this time, guests cannot use the one-day bathing option. We will reopen on April 7th and happily welcome visitors once more.
