September Lunch: Hokkaido Pork Loin

A week after the Hell Festival ended and its inclement weather, we entered September. This morning in Noboribetsu was cool, and it seems that in the blink of an eye we entered a new season. The flow of the year is always remarkable.

A new month means it is time to introduce a new special at Takimoto Inn. For September, our chef has chosen Hokkaido Pork Loin roasted with squash, zucchini, and mushrooms marinated in balsamic vinegar.

The low temperature roasting lets the natural juices of the meat and vegetables mingle while also keeping them moist. Paired with the seasonal vegetables marinated in rich balsamic vinegar, the dish is a perfect balance of flavors. Served with rice or bread, soup and salad for 1,000 yen including tax.

Pescatore Rosso (Spaghetti with Seafood Tomato Sauce) uses an abundance of seafood, mainly a shellfish called Shirogai. Gathered in the shallow beaches of northern Japan, they are similar to clams and very delicious. Swimming in the tangy tomato sauce, they balance it well for a superb flavor that is impossible to resist. Served with soup and salad, the pasta is 1,000 yen including tax.

We hope you enjoy these tasty seasonal ingredients in the dishes we created for you!
