Introducing Contemporary Takimotokan Style

On July 6th, the renovated South Building and Lobby opened.
Guests will find the same hospitality and warmth as always, but with a fresh look.
The New Takimotokan begins here.

The New South Building

In renovating the South Building we created a fresh selection of exceptional Superior and Premium guest rooms, with a choice of spacious Western and Japanese style and bedding, including our first Western rooms offering three beds. You can relax in contemporary Heart of Hokkaido comfort and style.

Whether you’re traveling as a couple, with the whole family, or a group of friends, the South Building offers a fresh and contemporary Takimotokan experience for a very special stay in Noboribetsu Onsen.

The New Lobby

Your stay starts in the New Lobby, a warm and engaging space that welcomes you to Takimotokan and opens the door your Heart of Hokkaido experience. The extensive use of Hokkaido wood and a natural palette of colours and textures were inspired by our unique location overlooking Jigokudani (Hell Valley).

Enhancing the check-in experience, a spacious new Group Lounge for guests travelling in groups connects directly with the underground bus lane, providing both group and independent travellers with a smooth, comfortable check-in in all weathers and all seasons.

The New Group Lounge

A spacious new lounge dedicated to the needs of guests traveling in large groups is located adjacent to the underground bus lane. It is designed to relieve congestion, for smoother check-ins and check-outs. The bus lane has been expanded to accommodate even the largest buses, to ensure quick and comfortable unloading and loading.

The New South Building Rooms

Discover a special peace in the Heart of Hokkaido.
Deep rest and relaxation to promote a feeling of revitalisation and well-being is at the heart of the Takimotokan experience. The thoughtful design of the Superior and Premium rooms in the renovated South Building ensures a relaxing and peaceful stay, with soothing décor, refined facilities, fixtures and amenities in both Japanese and Western rooms.

The careful selection of bedding enhances the relaxation of time spent in The Grand Bath. For a restful night’s sleep, Superior and Premium Japanese rooms are furnished with cotton-filled Comforton futons that provide soft support for a peaceful night’s sleep. The double-sided, folding pillow can be adjusted to customize individual height and firmness.

Beds in Superior and Premium Western rooms are fitted with Simmons Pocketed Coil mattresses that conform to the curves of your body to alleviate pressure points. They are complemented by a choice of feather, cotton, or bead-filled pillows.
