Today, November 29, 2024, Takimotokan was featured in the Hokkaido newspaper in an article titled “100 Years Old Established Businesses”.
The article reported that according to a survey conducted by the Sapporo Branch of Teikoku Data Bank, the number of long-established companies in Hokkaido that have been in business or established for over 100 years has quadrupled over the past 20 years, reaching 1,690 companies.

Among them, Takimotokan, the oldest company in Hokkaido, was introduced as a representative ryokan that has maintained its long history and traditions since its establishment in 1858.
