As part of the summer excitement at Dai-ichi Takimotokan, we are offering three refreshing new beverages that offer a taste of Hokkaido in summer. Each comes from near Noboribetsu Onsen, making them a very special taste of the region at this time of year. Takimaru-kun has kindly offered to show you how to find them at Dai-ichi Takimotkan’s piano salon, Misty! He is, as you may guess, a big fan of these tasty summer drinks!

Misty is located just off the front lobby and around the corner from the wall bearing the hot spring logo of Dai-ichi Takimotokan. You can see the drink poster in the background.

This is Misty, a favorite place for our guests to spend some time talking while enjoying a favorite beverage. The bar offers beer, imported wine, whiskey, and other drinks, including shots for 800 yen. And now it is the place for these three new delightful drinks!

The first one, Fresh Milk, originates just west of Noboribetsu Onsen in Date City.

Pasteurized milk* helps give this unique beverage a clean taste with only the slightest scent of milk. Even children who are not fond of milk will find this an easy beverage to enjoy.
*Normal milk is quickly sterilized at a very high temperature, which results in a change of milk’s flavor and nutritional values. However, the pasteurizing process sterilizes raw milk slowly and preserves milk’s original taste.

The second beverage, Yubari Melon Yogurt, is from Yubari City and is perhaps well-known even to those who do not live in Hokkaido.

It has the refreshing flavor of yogurt that combines beautifully with the crisp, sweet flavor of Yubari melons. It is a very special way to enjoy this delicious melon.

The third drink on Misty’s special menu, Sobetsu Apple Juice, comes from Sobetsu, a town adjacent to Lake Toya and just north of Date City.

The rich taste of Hokkaido apples is apparent from the very first sip of this 100% apple juice. It is quite refreshing and satisfying, especially for a summer day. We think everyone will enjoy it, even those visiting for just day use of the baths.

Go down the escalator near the Ookanobo on the ground floor of the Main Building, and walk past the various restaurants and fun activity spaces on the basement floor to Misty.
