February Lunch: Simmered Beef Ribs

In Sengen Park, just opposite Dai-Ichi Takimotokan, children of all ages are enjoying the sparkling snow. While it isn’t rare, snow still brings so much happiness!

Even though we’ve enjoyed some winter, our February Lunch at Takimoto Inn offers some hints of Spring!

Japanese-style Simmered Beef Ribs with Eggplant

Tender pieces of beef rib are simmered in a sweet tare (a traditional sauce made from soy sauce, cooking sake, and dashi) and served with spring vegetables and roasted eggplant. The meat is thick and savory, while the vegetables are lightly dressed with baking powder and lemon juice for a tasty and crisp finish.

Served with soup, salad, and rice or bread for ¥1,000 (including tax)

Japanese Spaghetti with Salmon and Shimeji Mushrooms

Delicious noodles combined with chunks of salmon, salmon roe, and the subtly aromatic Shimeji mushrooms. Topped with thinly cut strips of nori, the dish offers a refreshing taste of both the mountains and the sea.

Served with soup and salad for ¥1,000 (including tax)

We look forward to soon sharing with you the pleasures of winter and the tastes of Spring at Poplar, Takimoto Inn’s restaurant!
